New Artwork Release: Abstract Painting "Fate"

Fate: A relatively abstract concept, but one with many complex interpretations. This unique quality of individualized complexity is something I try to express within my artwork, this piece in particular. Some believe in fate, others don't. But we cannot deny that there is at least the illusion of it. In the painting, some may see a sun in the yellow and clouds in the white, while others may not. But there is at least the illusion of it, which is what I try to fill my paintings with.

The goal is a piece that upon initially looking reveals some of my thoughts and ideas, but as you continue to develop your individualized interpretation, you begin to gain insight into yourself. My artwork becomes a tool for you to learn more about yourself and make connections with the pieces, and while the paintings do not physically change, they evolve as both the individual viewer's interpretation changes and societal ideas evolve.

If you had to name some of the most prominent colors in this piece, green would undoubtably be on the list. What is interesting about it, is that it is centralized to one location and one location only. The green swooping figure appears to be changing things and spreading, as the drip, cloud, and sun illusions begin to create the image of a rainy yet happy day. There is an abundance of red in the painting, and yet the overall feel is joyous. The green undoubtably contributes to this, even though it only appears in one area.

The inspiration for this piece is the feeling of when it seems fate has saved you from a disastrous event, even if it is only an illusion. So much red and rain in the painting that if you heard a description with just words you would think it's dark and gloomy, yet the green fate changes everything even if it is just an appearance in one spot. It makes you wonder, does it even matter if it's just a deception as long as it changes the emotion of the situation?
